Waste conditioning

Technological waste resulting from the operation of nuclear facilities is conditioned for interim storage or disposal. The conditioning processes can take several forms: compaction, concrete encapsulation, cementation, bituminization, sand embedding, incineration, or melting.
These wastes are sorted according to their chemical nature, radiological characteristics and transportation regulations to their disposal sites. Upon arrival, the wastes are repackaged following the same criteria.
