Deep geological disposal

Geological disposal, currently in the project phase, is envisaged for High Level Waste (HLW) and Long Lived Intermediate Level Waste (ILW-LL).
This waste comes from the processing of spent fuel and reactors:
– vitrified or compacted waste;
– technological waste;
– conditioned liquid effluents;
– other radioactive waste which has been present in nuclear reactors.
