Concentration

The extracted uranium ore, put into solution by a chemical attack reaction, undergoes purification and concentration.
These chemical treatments allow the natural uranium to be isolated from all the other minerals, including its radioactive decay products.
The solution obtained is precipitated to form a solid with high content in uranium (U3O8), referred to as yellowcake.
